Instrument & Control Tech II/Sr in Marble Falls, TX

**This positon will require frequent travel between all 6 of LCRA's dams. Must be able to fulfill a 45 minute on-call response time for dam's Wirtz and Starke. Instr & Controls Tech IIAt an intermediate level, performs installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of instrumentation, control equipment, monitoring equipment and related systems. This position utilizes knowledge and experience in own discipline but is still building higher-level knowledge and skills. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from supervisor, manager and/or more experienced colleagues. ?Performs installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of instrumentation, control equipment, monitoring equipment and related systems. ?Monitors proper operation of equipment and systems within assigned area of responsibility. Identifies potential and actual problems and assists in determination of appropriate corrective actions to be taken. ?Reads and interprets diagrams and prints. ?Documents changes made to systems or equipment through appropriate communications and record keeping practices. Documents work into logs, files, system prints and other records and through communications, both oral and written, with other team members and supervisors.?Operates handheld testing, calibration, installation and maintenance tools and equipment.?Performs work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (substations, power plants, water systems, etc.) as scheduled.?Ensures tag-out procedures are followed by other team members. Follows tag-out procedures when performing work duties.?Assists in performing loop checks and commissioning new systems and or upgrades. Instr & Controls Tech Sr.At a senior level, performs installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of instrumentation, control equipment, monitoring equipment and related systems. This position utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services. Takes a new perspective to solve complex problems. Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May direct the work of other staff members. ?Leads and performs complex installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of instrumentation, control equipment, monitoring equipment and related systems. ?Ensures proper operation of equipment and systems within assigned area of responsibility. Identifies potential and actual problems and determines appropriate corrective actions to be taken. Provides leadership in analysis of complex problems.?Assists with planning of daily work activities and outage activities. ?Reads and interprets diagrams and prints. ?Documents changes made to systems or equipment through appropriate communications and record keeping practices. Documents work into logs, files, system prints and other records and through communications, both oral and written, with other team members and supervisors.?Operates handheld testing, calibration, installation and maintenance tools and equipment.?Performs work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (substations, power plants, water systems, etc.) as scheduled.?Ensures tag-out procedures are followed by other team members.
